附:吴敏教授简介
Min Wu, M.D., Ph.D. is a Professor at School of Medicine, University of North Dakota, USA. He obtained his PhD from Leeds Univ., UK. In order to understand the mechanisms of and discover better cures for infectious diseases, Min is interested in fundamental pathogenesis of P. aeruginosa respiratory infection and host-pathogen interaction, involving host autophagy process, non-coding RNA regulation, and bacterial CRISPR-Cas immunity. He is an internationally recognized scientist in both lung biology (asthma and lung injury repair) and Pseudomonas infection. He has been funded by NIH (currently funded with 2R01s) and other agencies for the last 20 years and collaborates with outstanding scientists worldwide. He has published more than 138 papers in high-quality journals (Nat Commun, Nat Microbiol, Cell Host Microbe, Sci Signal, Cell Res, PNAS USA, PLOS Pathog, Autophagy, Gastroenterology, Am J Respir Crit Care Med, etc.). Dr. Wu has served committee chair positions in professional societies and meeting chair or session chair of international conferences. He serves as associate editor for J Immunol, Nanomedicine, Sci Reports, PLoS One, etc. Dr. Wu has been invited to speak in major conferences (Gordon, AAI, SLB, ASBMB, etc.) and at renowned institutions (Yale, UAB, etc.) in the world and is a regular reviewer for NIH grants and high quality journals (Nat Commun, Nat Microbiol, PNAS, etc.). Dr. Wu has trained more than thirty graduate students and postdocs, some mentees became a leader in the field. He has won many awards including the UND Collaborative Research Award and Overseas Research Scholarship in UK.
